Whenever we divide by a fraction, we change division to multiplication & flip the fraction which is a divisor.
The rule
[tex] \frac{a}{b}/ \frac{c}{d} [/tex]
= [tex] \frac{a}{b}.\frac{d}{c} [/tex]
Here we need to divide 1/5 by 4
But 4 can also be written as 4/1
So we have
[tex] \frac{1}{5} /\frac{4}{1} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{1}{5} . \frac{1}{4} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{1}{20} [/tex]
The value of the expression 1/5 divided by 4 is 1/20 or 0.05.
