The volume of a cylinder:

r - the radius, h - the height.

The radius is half the diameter.
The height is three times the radius.

[tex]d=6 \ in \\ r=\frac{6}{2} \ in=3 \ in \\ h=3r=3 \times 3 \ in = 9 \ in \\ \pi \approx 3.14[/tex]

[tex]V=3.14 \times 3^2 \times 9=3.14 \times 9 \times 9=3.14 \times 81=254.34[/tex]

The volume is 254.34 in³.
