A pizza parlor sold 38 1/8 pizzas during a dinner hour. If each pizza contained 8 slices, how many slices of pizza were sold?

You wanna know how many slices of pizza's were sold so all you really have to do is divide 38 1/8 ( mixed number ) with 8 ( a whole number )

38 1/8 divided by 8 = 4 49/64

so now you have to simplify it so 4 49/64 simplified is

1 3/4 ( as a mixed number ) simplify 4 49/64 as a improper fraction is 7/4
