I am not sure if this is a true or false question, but if it is, the answer would be true. Donkeys are the offspring of a jack (or a male donkey) and a mare (or a female horse). Most mules are sterile, due to their chromosomes. When they do not have homologous pairs, it results in interspecies hybrids, like the mule. Hope this helps.
