NOTE: This is done on a Windows 10 OS
- Create local account with password
- Open 'Settings'.
- Click on 'Accounts'.
- Click on 'Family and other users'.
- Click on 'Add someone else to this PC' (located in the 'Other users' section).
- Don't enter an e-mail or phone number. Instead, click on 'I don't have this person's sign-in information'.
- This will take you to create a Microsoft account. Instead of doing that, click on the 'Add a user without a Microsoft account' link at the bottom.
- Fill in the form with the username, password and security questions if needed (these questions will help you recover access to your account if you forget your password).
- Now you can switch to the new local acount by clicking on 'Start Menu', then click the user icon and finally select the new local username.
- That's about it. You can now login with the new local user created.
- Set a screen saver
- Open 'Settings'.
- Click on 'Personalization'.
- Click on 'Lock Screen'.
- Click on 'Screen saver settings'.
- This will pop up a new window, where you can select the screen saver you wish to use, the waiting time for the screen saver to be activated and power managment options too.
- One you got your screen saver, click on the 'Apply' button, and then on the 'Ok' button.
- That's about it. Your screen saver will active from now on.
