Simple....you can either multiply by changing these fractions into decimals...or multiply them as fractions...
In this case..we will do both methods.
You have...
[tex] \frac{2}{3} * \frac{1}{3} *3 \frac{1}{4} [/tex]
change [tex]3 \frac{1}{4} [/tex]--->>> [tex] \frac{13}{4} [/tex] (Multiply whole number by denominator..add the numerator..and then use the original denominator)
So..now..
[tex] \frac{2}{3} * \frac{1}{3} * \frac{13}{4} =[/tex]
=[tex] \frac{2}{9} [/tex]
=[tex] \frac{2}{9} * \frac{13}{4} = \frac{26}{36} [/tex]
Simplifying it....[tex] \frac{13}{18} [/tex]
Thus, your answer.
Now..convert into decimals...
you have...[tex] \frac{2}{3} , \frac{1}{3} , \frac{13}{4} [/tex]
[tex] \frac{2}{3} =0.67 (rounded)[/tex]
[tex] \frac{1}{3} =0.33 (rounded)[/tex]
[tex] \frac{13}{4} =3.25[/tex]
0.67*0.33*3.25=0.72 (rounded)
And, if you divide [tex] \frac{13}{18} [/tex]....
=0.72
Thus, you know both your answers are...correct!!
Have a great day! :D

The answer is 13/18 is because you have to put 3 1/4 as an improper fraction and it equals to 13/4 and muiltply all of them so equals to 13/18
