The government has people who fix the roads when they are broken which is vital to our everyday life because truckers who are passing down the highway need to have good roads in order to drive on so that they can get their goods from one place to another and help the economy. The government also has food stamps in place to help people who are in need so that they can be useful members to the society.

- improved infrastructure - better roads and other transport mediums mean that governments are able to maintain in presence in all parts of the country which ensures that they can speedily access regions going through problems to help them out. It also means that more trade occurs which keeps the nation together.
- representative government - democratic governments today are made up of people from various regions in a country which makes regions feel like they are part of the government and therefore will make them stay in a united nation.
