Here is your answer:

The answer would have to be option A "Texas" only small parts of Texas is southwest but most is just south. According to my research the states: California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico are southwest but some are south like Texas, Nebraska, and Kansas.
