You are at a graduation, wedding, or award ceremony (this is where you need to use some imagination – maybe you are at the Red-carpet party for the Academy Awards). You will honor a family member or friend. If you cannot do that face-to-face given the current circumstances, pick someone to honor from a distance - over the phone. Give a one to two-minute speech detailing their lives. Focus on the person’s background and get a quote from the honoree. Your speech must contain three main points and have all the appropriate elements of a speech including an introduction, conclusion, and transitions.
Your three main points should focus on three unique experiences or different aspects of the person. (The event/occasion is fictional / the three main points, or experiences about the person should be real/factual)...
For example:
Introduction – Some biographical information of the honoree
Main point I – Funny story
Main point II – Serious story or life-changing experience
Main point III – Quote the person lives by
Conclusion – Thank the crowd / Toast the honoree / Wish them well
